The massively bedded Cretaceous limestones may be seen in the cliffs at the top, and the softer Jurassic limestones may be seen in the cliffs towards the bottom. The Hauterivian Marls lie between the two. It may be seen to start at the break of slope at the base of the Cretaceous limestone on the skyline, but thereafter is mainly covered by grass.
