This is a small stone, about 47 cm long and 27 cm wide lying on its back, associated with the Legerins vein. According to the Brailsford 1781 survey it is lying within the centre of a George Fletcher lease, the south-west corner of which is marked by Meer Stone 41. Meer Stone 17, Meer Stone 52, and Meer Stone 53 are also George Fletcher stones, but on a different lease.
