This small stone lies alongside Meer Stone 42, and marks the south-west corner of the 4½ meer lease held by George Fletcher & Co which appears on the Brailsford survey of 1781. Meer Stone 64 may also have marked this meer. Meer Stone 17, Meer Stone 52, and Meer Stone 53 are also George Fletcher stones, but on a different lease.
