A view of Penyghent worked in silk collage

Pen-y-ghent, Ribblesdale

Hand-painted silk collage 10x7.5 cm, recycled white card mount 20x15 cm.

Pen-y-ghent (2,273ft) is one of Yorkshire's limestone Three Peaks.

The collage depicts the hill's ridged flank in in green tones against an orange and blue sky with the silver evening star just definable behind a cloud.

I work in silk collage for a crisp line and glowing colour, and strive to convey the atmosphere and drama of Britain's landscapes and monuments.
