Lindisfarne Castle, Holy Island

Hand-painted silk collage.

This collage depicts Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island off the Northumberland coat. The 16th century castle looks to be an extension of the natural rock outcrop it has been built upon, and rises above land and sea.

I work in silk collage for a crisp line and glowing colour, and strive to convey the atmosphere and drama of Britain's landscapes and monuments.
