A view of Ingleborough worked in silk collage

Ingleborough

Hand-painted silk collage

Near the village of Ingleton, Ingleborough is one of Yorkshire's Three Peaks. It stands 2,372 feet high and is made up of lovely limestone and peaty moorland with the odd wizened Hawthorn dotted about. I wanted to show how the hill rises up from the land, its shoulders of cliff and scree, and its zig-zag streams.

I work in silk collage for a crisp line and glowing colour, and strive to convey the atmosphere and drama of Britain's landscapes and monuments.
