Men-an-tol, Cornwall, worked in silk collage

Men-an-tol,Cornwall

Hand-painted silk collage 8 x 11 cm.

Men-an-tol is a three stone Neolithic arrangement famous for its central holed stone. From the distant past to today, the holed stone has been used in healing ceremonies. It is to be found on a quiet area of shrubby gorse and bracken moorland between the Cornish coasts.

I work in silk collage for a crisp line and glowing colour, and strive to convey the atmosphere and drama of Britain's landscapes and monuments.
