The Idol, Brimham Rocks
Hand-painted silk collage 11.5*15.5 cm.
This is one of the many unusual millstone grit formations at Brimham Rocks in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, that the Victorians thought had been sculpted by ancient Druids rather than the elements.
I work in silk collage for a crisp line and glowing colour, and strive to convey the atmosphere and drama of Britain's landscapes and monuments.
